Turning tragedy to hope: A brother’s journey with Children’s Wisconsin

Trigger warning: This video contains content about suicide.

After losing his brother, Craig, to suicide in 2017, Jeff Yabuki — the former CEO of Fiserv, Inc. — knew there was something he had to do.

In 2021, he and his family made a groundbreaking commitment of $20 million — the largest single donation in Children’s Wisconsin history — to redefine the way we care for a child's overall health.

Master’s-trained therapists will work alongside our pediatricians at all Children’s Wisconsin primary care offices and urgent care locations to create a new standard for the evaluation, treatment and access to mental and behavioral health services for all kids.

Watch the video above to hear Jeff share his family’s journey and the vision he and Children’s Wisconsin have to make sure every child receives the care they desperately need.

To inspire others to step forward, the Yabuki family has committed $5 million of their gift to match every donation, dollar-for-dollar. Supporting the Change the Checkup Challenge means your donation will be doubled. Join the Change the Checkup Challenge and donate today
