Accessing care from Children’s Wisconsin

Mental health can have a serious impact on physical health and the progression of a child into adulthood. Mental health also is associated with the prevalence and progression of chronic diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.

Children's Wisconsin offers several options to meet the mental and behavioral health needs of children and teens. We encourage parents to call (414) 266-3339 for a consultation from Children’s Wisconsin.

Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Program

Our psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, psychotherapists, and nurse practitioners provide mental health diagnosis and treatment for anxiety and attachment disorders, Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, child abuse and neglect, depression, and psychotic disorders.

At sites throughout Wisconsin, our licensed child and family counselors work with children — from toddlers through adolescents — and their families to address problems and strengthen family ties. We also offer other types of specialized counseling, including grief and bereavement counseling, and violence prevention counseling.
